2008- 'Taken From Life'

Location Jarmbi Gallery, Burrinja, 351 Glenfern Rd Upwey, VIC.  www.burrinja.org.au/community/Content/major_events/events_index.htm

Date 23rd July - 5th August 2008

The art exhibition ‘Taken from life’ was about the experiences of different women on becoming a mother. My aim as an artist was to provide insight into a woman’s mind, soul and spirit as she embarks on the journey of motherhood, and also to raise awareness and compassion towards the needs of others, especially mothers and children in disadvantaged countries. Motherhood is an extraordinary time in a woman’s life. To experience the joy of pregnancy, birth and child rearing in comfort is a luxury that many in Australia take for granted.

 2007- 'The Fragrance of Grace'

Location 'Project Contemporary Art Space' Keira st Wollongong, NSW. www.projectgallery.org

Date 4th - 15th July 2007

'The Fragrance of Grace' combined Dance and Visual Arts on both opening and closing nights. 'Charis' featuring dancers John Derrington and Melanie Dimitrievich performed three pieces on both nights. The exhibition; artworks and dance were themed around past present and future relationships between people and a loving creator/God.

This was an exciting and challenging exhibition, and was a fantastic solo effort for a 9 month pregnant school teacher who had just moved house!
