Artist Statement

I am interested in the human condition and relationships. I tend to focus on these as themes in my artworks and try to capture the emotion or atmosphere of whatever I am creating. My work can be described as expressive, semi-realistic, figurative, deep, and spiritual. Expressionism, Impressionism and Romanticism have been major influences on the style and subject matter of my artworks.

 Artist Bio

From the time I was able to hold a pencil until now, I have been passionate about creating artworks. After completing a bachelor in Fine Arts at the 'National Art School' Darlinghurst, Sydney I decided to follow in my mothers footsteps and become a high school art teacher. I taught both primary and secondary at a private school in NSW for 3 years and have now found solace in becoming a mother in VIC. I have been able to work as an artist while being a mum because of the support from my husband. Currently I am volunteering as an artist to provide relief for bush fire victims, teaching art to VCAL students and running a sketching class for adult learners. I am continually learning and growing and see my self as an artist who will do things a little differently to the norm.
